The Evolution

We’re not your average crew. Born and bred in the West Oakland, we’ve got the rhythm of the streets coursing through our veins. Let me break it down for you:

 As kids, we vibed to the soulful beats of R&B and the gritty rhymes of Hip Hop. Picture us—Lapidoth, Problem, 6ixteenz, and Jentile—rocking the mic at talent shows and poetry slams. The Black “Oakland” Box in the Uptown district was our stomping ground, where we spit fire and wove tales that echoed the struggle and resilience of our city.

Back then, our lyrics were raw, unfiltered. We painted vivid scenes of street life: violence, drugs, and chaos. As Joe Clarkk, we owned the stage at The Bay Area Rap Scene Awards (B.A.R.S Awards) and SF Ecofest. We were hungry, hungry for recognition, hungry for truth.

 But life ain’t a static beat. We evolved. Our music transformed, mirroring our own journey. We shed the old skin, traded the darkness for light. Now? Our message is about community, unity, and spiritual awakening. We tackle everyday struggles head-on, spitting wisdom that builds up the youth, celebrates women, and defines true manhood, while honoring God.
